In this era of emails, do you still mail an actual Christmas greeting card to selected recipients? And a related query: do you purchase Christmas-themed Forever postage stamps?
Just asking,,,
Hi Wayne, we use both email and mail, but we don’t order Christmas stamps, but use Christmas stickers.
Dear Wayne…yes, I use both snail mail and email to send Christmas wishes to friends and family. And, yes, I use Forever stamps.
Yes, I make sewn cards with a mix of Christmas-related subjects, fabrics, colors and textures. It’s fun for people to open them and discover the stitching. Many recipients report that they have them framed. I buy Forever stamps from Kay at the Kaimuki Post Office, who is a delightful person. It’s all such a pleasure!
Paula, your cards must be a gem; no wonder some lucky recipients frame ’em. Can you share an image of your handicraft here?
Hi Wayne,
I am still mailing regular Christmas cards this year.I guess I am old fashioned.-HA! Have a good holiday. Aloha DOlores T.
Great, and Postal Department needs support of folks who use its services,
As a retired Postal employee I take umbrage to the term “snail mail” but glad this is your preferred method of communication as it is also mine. I definitely enjoy receiving mail sent via USPS vs an email. Not everyone is as tech savvy as you (and maybe me too) but itʻs always nice to receive a card or letter in the mail and especially on special occasions.
Since your retirement from the local papers, I do appreciate reading your email column and feel fortunate to have email, wifi access; NOT EVERYONE has access.
Happy Holidays to you! Feeling blessed to be spending the holidays in Maui and Honolulu.
